The Master’s in School Leadership program unites educators from independent, public, and charter schools to equip them for leadership roles through mentorship, evidence-based research, and engagement with the pressing challenges shaping schools today. 

The School Leadership, M.S.Ed. with optional Principal Certification program’s executive-style format is designed to fit seamlessly into your life as an educator, allowing you to advance your skills without disrupting your career. With monthly in-person weekends, evening online sessions, and summer intensives, the structure accommodates the demands of teaching, as well as the responsibilities of family and personal commitments.

Students complete an on-site internship within their school that focuses on core areas such as teacher supervision, budget management, curriculum development, and community relations. An on-site mentor enriches the internship experience and helps students to hone their observation and leadership skills. The learning experience also extends beyond their school, as students participate in focused observations at public, charter, and independent schools across Philadelphia, gaining valuable insights throughout the year.
